Plastic Padding Super Steel Epoxy Weld is rated out of 5 by 12.Rated 5 out of 5 by OpenG from Best epoxy I've taken the bother to register and write my first ever review to say that this is the best epoxy resin on the market. It sets absolutely solidly and it has a plasticity that the clear epoxy's don't have. I find that the clear epoxy's are brittle and can crack. I've used this in many different types of applications from resetting a microphone stand adjusting bolt, to sealing a high pressure valve in a water rocket REMEMBER- like all epoxy's, the two tubes have to be used in equal parts and thoroughly mixed. Just saying.Date published: 2018-05-15Rated 1 out of 5 by r4567 from Rubbish Followed instructions, had to wait not 5 but 20 minutes set, and after 24 hours at 20 degrees still was not healed, staying soft. Goes straight to the bin, wasted money but more importantly now I have the task to clean the residual gunk, so big waste of time as well.Date published: 2017-12-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Singe from repair putty Worked extremely well with minimum fuss. sealed the cracks in my radiator using only a minimal amount.Date published: 2017-08-08Rated 5 out of 5 by jjozsi from Stainless steel kettle fixed, job done ✔︎ The spout of my stainless steel kettle gave up along the welding. While this is not a food save product (contains BPA), I decided to go for it as that part has very little and short term contact with the water. Despite the one start reviewers the glue DID set in the 5 minutes window indicated and was firm 6 hours later (but not steel hard yet). After some heat applied (put on the kettle) the glue seem to be hardened. I used a sponge with warm water and some Fairy and it nicely dissolved the spilling on unwanted places while the glue was still unset. The glue was easy to work with, I'd surely recommend itDate published: 2016-11-16Rated 1 out of 5 by Denzil247 from Not worth buying. I bought this product on 24/07/2016 used it the next day , I had to pull apart what I was fixing (plastic bumper on car) after 40 minutes of sticking together. The 'super steel ' had not set after 25 minutes in temperature of 25degrees.C plus despite claim on packaging 'super steel sets in 5 minutes at 20 degrees.C ' . I followed the instructions implicitly off the packaging but was still able to pull it apart with relative ease I will now have to buy something else to do the job properly, I will not be buying any of their products in future. I've used it on plastic, aluminium to plastic, aluminium on its own. This glue if applied correctly is incredibly versatile and strong. I used it to seal a 1.5mm by 5mm hole in a brand new alloy radiator for a car (I couldn't bring myself to buy another £300 radiator). Cleaned the area and applied. Admittedly this was radiator wasn't used for while, but this was 5 years ago now and the radiator is still in use, doesn't leak and have had no problems. I even sanded the drip off recently and still no problems. The system is hot and obviously pressurised so speaks for itself I think. I've also used to the glue to seal aluminium plugs into a plastic engine inlet manifold. This particular manifold is on a turbo charged engine and I've had no issues with boost pressures of 22 psi. If you stick to the instructions you can't go wrong. You have to remember that the areas you're glueing must be clean. Use some white spirit or methylated spirits to get any dirt/grease off. in some cases it'll take longer to clean the parts than actually glueing them. This product is far superior to the two part glues you find in syringe form. I would recommend this to anyone.Date published: 2016-05-19Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from This does not work I brought this for a job on my car and what a waste of time and money this was. not only this did not set solid as after 48 hours it was still wet but it failed on the job i was working on. I tried to do something else with this product and yet again it failed. I know i wont be using this product again and i will use other products instead.Date published: 2015-12-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Mickijm from Best Ever Not sure what happened when one reviewer used it and only gave one star. This is undoubtedly the best Epoxy Steel compound I have ever used.Date published: 2015-06-23
