Holts Cataloy Knifing Putty 100g is rated out of 5 by 24.Rated 1 out of 5 by Alex9611 from Didn't work for me Used this on a rust repair after a primary filler l, followed the instructions but when it come to sanding it level it was hard to remove.Date published: 2018-06-25Rated 2 out of 5 by hdunnit from Not fit for purpose. Left 24 hours to dry and then it just comes off when you sand it. If you leave less than 24 hours it is still wet and ruins the primer. Complete waste of time. Will have to do everything all over again. Get some filler and don't waste your time.Date published: 2018-05-27Rated 1 out of 5 by Coyle77 from Waste of time Tried using this to fill a minor dent it didn’t cure/dry at all and I had to remove it all, it was still softDate published: 2018-03-18Rated 1 out of 5 by eringo99 from Horrid stuff - will ruin everything ! Nasty stuff, should not be on the shelf, goes on horribly sticky and goes all gummy, took off my aged primer and had to redo everything all over again, had to go back to metal and remove my cured filler too. Only bought it to fill pinholes over filler, should have just used filler - you live and learn, YOU have been warned, should have read the reviews!!!Date published: 2017-09-23Rated 2 out of 5 by Lotfi2013 from Too sticky it wasn't smooth at all, hated working with it, you have to get it right with one sweep or else it loses its smoothness.Date published: 2017-08-21Rated 1 out of 5 by Laundosh from Knifing putty Not good, setting time actually days, even then soft and not sandableDate published: 2017-06-18Rated 3 out of 5 by Renfield from Disappointing Not easy to get a good finish; too sticky and seemed to need more solvent to make it smooth. Used cellulose thinners to smooth the surface. Perhaps it was a bad batch.Date published: 2017-06-17Rated 5 out of 5 by matt37 from Used on 3D printed models I use this on 3D printed models to smooth out the build lines. I print in PLA and the putty has excellent adherence to it. As long as you don't build it up too thick it will dry and be sandable in about 30mins to an hour. I find it responds well to coarse sanding sponges for rounded and curved shapes and then through the grits to smooth out. If its left to dry properly it will sand very easily. It takes paint very well and helps give a nice smooth finish. It s no use for building up a deep level or sculpting in a shape. Use P38 or similar for that.Date published: 2017-05-20
