Electric Scooters can be waterproof and withstand light splashes. Each manufacturer will test and provide a rating based on its waterproofness, so it is important to check the specification of your scooter as these will vary.

All of our e-scooters have a water resistance rating and where applicable some have IP ratings that have been independently tested. The higher the number, the more waterproof it is. A level of 5 or 6 should provide protection from puddles, splashes and light rain.

It is also important to be aware of your warranty, as many manufacturers will advise riders not to use their scooter in the rain, which could void your warranty if you go against recommendations.

Yes, electric scooters can travel uphill, but there are some things you need to know before hitting the hills.

When travelling uphill, the motor will need to work harder, which will drain the battery more quickly. You’ll also find travelling uphill is slower, too. If you are planning on taking your e-scooter uphill, then invest in one with a powerful motor for the best performance and be sure to keep it charged up!

Yes, electric scooters are legal to own in the UK. However, there are lots of restrictions surrounding where they can be used.

Currently, electric scooters can only be used on private land with the landowner’s permission. It is effectively illegal to use them on public roads, on pavements, in cycle lanes and in pedestrian-only areas.

Following an announcement in May 2022, a new Transport Bill was introduced. This bill stated that private electric scooter use is set to be legalised on public roads, legislation isn't in place just yet but is projected for the next year ahead. Keep on eye out on our site and socials where we will keep you updated on any further developments,
