Boardman ADV 8.8 Mens Adventure Bike
The Boardman ADV 8.8 Mens Adventure Bike is a bike truly made to help you explore new possibilities. Taking the fast rolling features of a road bike the ADV bikes have a more forgiving geometry that allows a more upright riding position. With a lower bottom bracket for better stability and wide Schwalbe G-One tyres this bike is adept at riding in comfort on roads but really excels when you want to get off the beaten track. Shimano Sora gears are here offered with a sub compact chainset (48/32) that gives you a great range of gears and plenty of scope, even if carrying extra gear, to get up any hill you come across. Pannier and mudguard ready this bike is also a brilliant commuting option as the slightly more upright position will help you keep an eye on the traffic. A carbon fork keeps the weight down and naturally all this comes on a brilliant Boardman aluminium frame that is designed with adventure in mind.

Boardman ADV 8.8 Mens Adventure Bike is rated out of 5 by 4.Rated 5 out of 5 by Geronimo77 from GET THE GRAVEL Bought one of these and now had a few rides on all types of terrain except deep mud . The bike could do it but may need to get other tyres if doing it a lot .This bike is the real do it all bike , flys round trails and gravel and is not much slower on the road , than my road bike even with the 38 tyres fitted .The fared bars are great and allow you to get into a deep crouch when wanting to get some speed up .Gears are fine ,just took a couple of miles to get used to them . The brakes are fine if you bed them in correctly , and give me good control and stopping power .Overall comfort is really good as saddle is no problem with or with out padded shorts .I have even sold my Voodoo MTB as this bike dose what I used to do on that but quicker , but I do not do serious MTBing .Really is a do it all go any where bike , got mine with 10% off and £75 worth of gear , so even better .Coming up for 6 week check up soon .Hope this review helps someone may be a bit long but I think the more info the better .Date published: 2018-08-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Cbrown92 from Best bike i have ever owned!!! This is my first road bike, and was very unsure what to pick as a first choice. if you are looking for the riding position of a road bike but are scared about tyre durability on poor roads, this is definitely the bike for you. This bike provides something that not all other road bikes can; the ability to be used on multi-terrain. primarily it is used as a commute bike daily, but regularly, it is taken out at the weekend! Best bike available to buy from Halfords right now in my opinion!Date published: 2018-06-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Sensibly priced , high quality "adventure" bike Great touring bike , very universal and coping well on tough terrain. I cycled Scotland on it and it was absolutely great. Mechanical disc breakes - are an advantage , since they are easy to repair with simplest tools when away from civilisation. All in all a very happy customer :)Date published: 2018-06-20Rated 4 out of 5 by V14D from good value for money had it for 2 weeks now so it might not be the most conclusive review; my first cyclocross bike; ridden only MTBs and hybrids so far; mainly used for commuting (aprox 30 km/ day) and leisure rides; already started rattling/squeaking a little bit (pedals, front gear shifters) so i am going to probably go for the first check-up (included) earlier overall satisfied with it even though there are alternatives within this price range.Date published: 2018-04-18
