Our Click & Collect service means you can order an item online for collection in any of our Stores.

What is our Fastrack Service?

At many of our stores, there will be a Fastrack queuing point available. This is for the following:

  • Any prepaid click and collect orders to be picked up.
  • Any of our prepaid services, including our free car and bike checks.
  • Bike collection.

We are committed to our safety policies and we are unable to offer Fastrack queues at those stores where outside space does not allow for it to be done safely. In this instance, please make yourself known to the Halfords colleague at the front of the store.

Important Information

Please provide a mobile phone number and email address during the checkout process so we can notify you when you product is ready to collect.

If you have ordered a built bike you will have been asked to book a collection day and time to safely collect your bike. Once you have chosen a slot, this date and time is unable to be amended.

For the safety of our customers and colleagues, extra measures have been put in place that may result in your click & collect or home delivery order taking longer than normal to be ready.

We are doing all we can to ensure your collection is available on time.  Thank you for your support.

Following the new social distancing measures published by the Government to keep our colleagues and customers safe, we respectively ask that you observe the following guidelines when collecting your Click & Collect order:

Before getting to Store

You will receive a confirmation SMS text informing you of when your order is ready for collection

If you have ordered a bike, please wait for your store to phone you to arrange a suitable collection time.

When visiting a store

To help protect everyone, stores will not be open for browsing. Instead we are introducing two new ways to shop with us:

  1. A drive in, pick or collect point This will be situated at the check in desk in the entrance to our stores. Here you will be able to get your Click and Collect purchase. If you have not used our Click and Collect service, our colleagues will be able to take your order and retrieve the product for you.
  2. Drive in, fit and repair This is for essential fittings and services. Simply park your car at the front of our stores and request your service at the check in desk.

During your visit

To help keep everyone safe, please only approach our check in desk when there are no other customers being served.

Please stay 2 metres apart from customers and colleagues while they serve you or service your vehicle. To help make this easier, we will be marking out safe distances at the entrance to our store.

Returns - For product returns you will no longer need to fill in any paperwork and we are extending our exchange and returns policy to 90 days until further notice. This will be available on products bought in-store and online on or after 24th February 2020. Learn more.

Yes, we are still operating our click and collect service in our stores.

Once you have been notified that your order is ready you will be able to arrive at your local store to collect your order.

Please click here to see the opening hours of our stores near you. We continue to operate in a way that is safe for our customers and colleagues so these stores may change over time.

If the item is available in your selected Store, you’ll be able to collect within 1 hour of placing your order. Please wait for your confirmation text before coming in to collect your order.

If your item isn't in stock in your chosen store, you can choose to have the item delivered to your local store for collection. The expected collection time for your order will be communicated to you on the product page after entering your post code. This will then be confirmed when you have completed checkout.

There are different factors that can affect delivery times. For instance, if you order a bike via click & collect how quickly you can collect it depends upon whether you'd like it built and whether it is in stock at your local store.

But don’t worry, once you get to the checkout you’ll be able to find out when your item will be ready for collection before you place the order.

If your item isn't in stock in your chosen store, you can choose to have the item delivered to your chosen store for collection.

When you order a bike to collect in-store, you'll have the option to have it built by our experts for £10 or collect boxed (unbuilt) for free. If your chosen bike is £250 or over we will build for free.

Please note Bikes that are in stock in your chosen store can be reserved as above but an additional 48hrs will be added to build - we'll ring to confirm the best collection time, and then get busy building your bike.

Forgot to add your bike build? No problem! Simply contact your chosen Store and they will get this added on for you.

*Note bike builds added after the order has been placed will add up to 24 hours on the collection time.

Bikes that have to be ordered into your chosen store will be ready for collection in up to seven working days. Some exceptions may apply for Web Exclusive products.

When you go to collect your item you'll always pay the price you reserved it at, even if the price has since changed or the offer's ended.

If the price has reduced before you have collected your items, we will reduce the price in line with our price match policy.

No Problem! To cancel you order all you need to do is contact your chosen store and they can make the arrangements for you. Their contact details will be detailed on your order confirmation, alternatively click here.

But don’t worry, if you can’t get in touch, our Stores will cancel you order 7 days after the reservation was placed.

All order will be held In-store for up to 7 days from the date the order was placed. If you feel you may not be able to collect within this period, contact you chosen Store and they can extend this to a date up to 7 additional days.

Here at Halfords, we try to be a flexible as possible, we appreciate that you may be purchasing an item for you child who is away at Uni and need to collect locally, or you are reserving a gift for your grandchild who lives 100 miles away.

Just a copy of the order confirmation to present at the time of collection.

Once you have chosen your bike online, you will be prompted to enter your post code on the product page. After you have done this, you will have the option choose a collection slot at a store that is most convenient for you.

Please note, collection slots are available up to 30 days in advance.

If you have booked an appointment to collect your built bike but can longer attend at the selected time & date please visit your chosen store to arrange an alternative appointment. Where possible a colleague will book an alternative time and date for you to collect your built bike and have it set up to your requirements.

In the event that there are no suitable appointments available in the diary then the store colleague will make every effort to accommodate your needs alongside other bookings in the diary, but please be aware that you may experience a longer wait time when you arrive to collect your built bike.

If you have changed your mind and now wish to cancel your order, please visit your local store where they can cancel the order and issue you with a refund.
