Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike - 20"Beginning to find their own way on two wheels? The Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike has been specifically designed to make cycling easier as the rides start to get longer. Gears can be tricky to get to grips with, so the Chartres has been equipped with an easy-action Shimano trigger gear shifter for easy shifting, helping to build confidence. Alongside that is an ultra-lightweight double butted aluminium frame, aluminium fork, alloy brakes, and a fully sealed bottom bracket to make pedalling super smooth. If your youngster is of the more thrill-seeking type, more aggressive mountain bike tyres can easily be fitted, making this the perfect 'do anything' bike.

Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike - 20" Wheel is rated out of 5 by 39.Rated 5 out of 5 by jms001x from Excellent lightweight hybrid Junior cycle Bought this Wiggins Chartres cycle for my 6 year old daughter, 3 days after she learnt to properly ride a cycle. A day later she cycled 22 miles along the Camel Trail from Padstow to Bodmin. She made the journey without fuss and still had plenty of energy and enthusiasm at the end of the trail. She loved this bike. Found it very easy to work the Shimano gears and found the cycle to be very comfortable. We have seen similar spec’d cycles Costing a lot more, that are not as good as this cycle. This is the second Wiggins cycle I have bought for my kids and am very impressed with the build quality and value for money. Bought this cycle in Summer Sale for £200 with additional £15 of free accessories. Now retail8ng at £310 for just the cycle.Date published: 2018-08-30Rated 5 out of 5 by carl004 from Brilliant bikr We attend a fairly large cycle club. My son's Wiggings bikes are at the lower end of the price scale of those that attend. However when the kids inevitably bike swap there is no mad clammor to get to the frogs or Isla bikes over this. It's light weight, well made, has great gear ratios and the brakes stop you on the spot. This is a great bike. It's already taken him up and over the north down. And I dare say will continue to do so for some time.Date published: 2018-06-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Dwg1982 from Great bike I got this bike for my tall 41/2 year old son. Following advice from other reviews, I removed the reflector on the seat post and the seat went a bit lower. He has done a couple of longish rides of 7-8 miles and 1 big 20 mile ride. Bike is great, gears and brakes are so easy to use. We had always brought frogs - now I think we will stick with wiggins. Absolutely superb value even at full RRP. Quality frame & component selection. Nice modern geometry with a long reach & wheelbase giving very stable riding. Nice colour & mod styling touches like the headset cap bullseye. Half the price of an islabike & less than a bag of sugar heavier.Date published: 2018-05-20Rated 5 out of 5 by ATY9 from Great Buy! Wanted to get the right bike which is light and will be used for a few years but didn't want to spend too much on a junior bike and this ticked all the boxes and, when received, perfect! Our son loves it .......all that matters. Ordered online and collected in store few days later and 6 week check and servicing can be done in any Halfords Store.Date published: 2018-05-11Rated 5 out of 5 by Kem1 from Super light I choose this bike for my six year old as she is petite and needed a light bike. It’s amazing I can lift her and bike up. Also rubust and well built. I have ridden it to check it out. Great bikeDate published: 2018-05-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike3578 from Fantastic bike to improve cycling for younger children I bought this bike for my son's 7th birthday. He previously had an Apollo Xpander mountain bike. It was very heavy and he didn't enjoy riding his bike as much as he does with the Wiggins. It is light, gears and brakes easy to use. The bike has really transformed our family rides as he now enjoys riding with us for longer distances. Overall slightly more than I'd ideally like to pay for the bike but in terms of quality it is worth it in my opinion.Date published: 2018-04-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Ninkynonk99 from Brilliant spec bike for fantastic price When you compare this bike to the equivalent size frog or Isla bike, you’re getting something that is the same spec but for a fraction of the price. We’ve got two now after being so impressed with the first one. Not sure how the resale value will compare to the more well known brands. A new one of these is cheaper than a second hand Isla bike.Date published: 2018-04-21
