Wiggins Rouen Junior Road Bike - 700c is rated out of 5 by 5.Rated 5 out of 5 by Buster01 from Great road bike for the price Bought the bike as my 9 year old son who had outgrown his old road bike. He has started schoolboy racing and so wanted a decent bike but nothing too expensive as there will be a limited shelf life use for the bike. H's raced with others on bikes 6-8 times more expensive and he doesn't look out of place on the start line !! Equipment is good for the price and weight is fine too in my opinion. Only issue is that the gears are not set up for schoolboy / girl racing. I had to screw the gears down (top two sprockets) and outer chain ring, to meet BC gear regs for racing. However his top gear once screwed down, was well below the limit for his age group, so he was disadvantaged. Halfords didn't have the necessary replacement components (sprockets / inner chainring). Perhaps the gearing should be reviewed to dovetail with BC gear restrictions ??Date published: 2018-09-21Rated 5 out of 5 by 531c from Great first road bike Great first road bike for my 11 year old son, the build quality and components are excellent and the graphics really look the part. If you’re thinking about whether to go for 650 or 700c then go for the 700c 43 cm frame if you can. The seat post is a little too long so the bottle cage bosses stop it going fully down, but you can easily cut a little off the seat post and replace it later if you need to with a longer one. Much cheaper than growing out of the smaller frame.Date published: 2018-05-22Rated 5 out of 5 by vwtemovw from Great starter road bike for 11 year old Got this for my 11 year old to get into road biking with me and couldn't be more pleased he absolutely loves it and is a decent set up and a nice light bike for the money, he has done over 100 miles on it in just over a week and is a good gear ratio for climbing has i took him up in the Lincolnshire wolds and he got up every climb. Also great being a 700 size wheel so I can upgrade his wheels at a later date but the ones on it are really decent and roll Well, only thing I changed was it came with 23mm tyres so I put 25mm on to make it a more comfy ride for himDate published: 2017-08-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Fatchris from Lightweight great ergonomics for 11yr old Bike is light simple to use and very fast. My daughter loves itDate published: 2017-05-18Rated 5 out of 5 by James98765987654 from Perfect for the little superstars! 43cm frame perfect for our 11 year old. Quality components and ability to upgrade components at a later date a bonus.Date published: 2017-03-05
