Halfords Advanced Modular Workstation

The Halfords Advanced Modular 71” Workstation combines a wall cabinet with a seven-drawer floor cabinet, giving you storage above and below a central workspace. It has four sets of swivel wheels, an auto-return drawer function, integrated locking and a total capacity of 440kg, making it suited to garages and workshops where you need substantial storage in one setup.

For a more flexible starting point, our Halfords modular storage shelving unitscan be combined to create a storage setup around the space you have available. The range includes rectangular shelving, corner shelving and wall units with hooks. The boltless design means there’s no need for bolts when assembling the shelving, while the modular construction lets you arrange units to suit your garage or workshop.

There are two variations of the rectangular shelving unit available, one with a capacity of 175kg per shelf and the other with a capacity of 265kg per shelf

The Halfords Advanced 36” 6-Drawer Top Chest gives you dedicated storage for tools and workshop equipment, with six soft-close drawers, ball-bearing drawer sliders and a lift-up lid with gas struts. Each drawer has a 20kg load rating, while the chest is also compatible with Halfords Advanced Modular Trays, making it easier to organise smaller tools.

Halfords Advanced 36” 6 Drawer Cabinet

For larger or heavier items, the Halfords Advanced 36” 6-Drawer Cabinet provides six drawers in a wheeled cabinet, so you can keep your tools organised while still being able to move them around your workspace.

It's different drawer sizes make it easier to separate smaller tools from bulkier equipment, while the cabinet’s handle and wheels make it practical when you need to move your storage around the garage or workshop.

Halfords Advanced Workstation

If you need a dedicated workspace as well as storage, the Halfords Advanced Workstation combines both in one unit. It features three drawers, an upper cupboard and a 350kg total load capacity, with auto-return drawers, 45mm ball-bearing slides and cold-rolled steel construction. It’s also compatible with the Halfords Advanced Modular Tray, so you can organise smaller tools in the drawers while keeping frequently used equipment close to your work surface.

What should you do before buying modular storage?

Measure your space

Measuring the space where you want the storage to go, including the height from floor to ceiling, will help ensure you don’t end up with a storage system that doesn’t fit.

Make sure you take into account any doors that open or drawers that pull out, as well as the space you’ll need to move around if you’re thinking of investing in an option with wheels. If you’re choosing a workstation or shelving that doubles as a workbench, leave enough room to stand and work comfortably in front of it.

Choose the right storage type for you

This goes hand-in-hand with the above point, but it’s worth mentioning on its own because one of the major benefits of modular storage is the ability to create a bespoke space.

If you want two shelving units side by side for your tools, there are options avaiable. If you’d prefer a workspace with storage above and below, then you can create it. Just make sure your measurements are correct and you can use the space to your advantage.
